Bamboo Airways’ first relief shipment has arrived in the Central region.

Bamboo Airways said it has fully prepared the necessary conditions and is ready to carry out this task.
The airline said that over the past several months, it has actively prepared the necessary resources, including preparing optimal means of transport, standard methods of preserving COVID-19 vaccines, developing transportation methods and effective plans for mobilizing personnel and materials.
Regarding the fleet, Bamboo Airways’ wide-body fleet of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners can transport a maximum cargo volume of 40 tons, with a maximum range of up to 15,000km, allowing direct flights to many countries around the world. In addition, Bamboo Airways has prepared vehicles, logistics services, berths, refrigerated containers, etc. to serve the preservation work.
“The airline has identified the prerequisite criteria in the process of transporting vaccines: Speed, safety, standards and transparency,” said a representative of Bamboo Airways.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has previously said that the transport and distribution of vaccines to billions of people around the world will be the “mission of the century” for the aviation industry.
“This will be the most complex and largest logistical operation in history. The whole world is counting on airlines,” said Alexandre de Juniac, director of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
IATA estimates that it will take 8,000 Boeing 747 aircraft (with a payload capacity of 100 tonnes) and 2 years to transport Covid-19 vaccines to about 7 billion people worldwide.
