2020: Bamboo Airways promotes the transport of high-value goods on the Vietnam – Korea route

Bamboo Airways has deployed and built a set of cargo transport standards that meet the standards of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as well as international standards, while meeting all strict requirements of the authorities of the two countries on transporting goods by air.
Unblocking the transport of high-value goods
On October 14 (local time), Bamboo Airways’ cargo flight QH468 departing from Hanoi landed at Incheon International Airport (South Korea), carrying 35 tons of goods including high-value electronics such as phones, laptops, electronic components, etc. on the modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner wide-body aircraft. This is the inaugural flight for Bamboo Airways’ regular cargo flights on the Hanoi – Incheon direct route until the end of 2020, early 2021.
According to a representative of Bamboo Airways, in preparation for cargo flights on this route, Bamboo Airways has deployed and developed a set of cargo transport standards that meet the standards of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as well as international authorities, while meeting all strict requirements of the authorities of the two countries on transporting goods by air.
To enhance flight safety on the above flight, all relevant departments have coordinated very smoothly and professionally to ensure smooth operations. Bamboo Airways has researched the lashing, loading, and netting processes to build and apply an optimal lashing position diagram for cargo blocks in the passenger cabin, taking advantage of the flight load to reduce costs for partners.
Especially for the Korean market, where high-value goods such as mobile phones and laptops account for the majority of output, Bamboo Airways continuously monitors throughout the flight process, and works with cargo and ground service partners to conduct cross-checks to ensure absolute integrity of the goods.
In the context of the international flight network not yet fully resumed, Bamboo Airways’ cargo flights in the passenger cabin are expected to contribute to creating more options for air cargo transportation services; unblocking the flow of goods in the market, especially for trade between traditional trade partners such as Vietnam and Korea; thereby reducing the stagnation of trade activities due to the pandemic globally.
Previously, Bamboo Airways has successfully operated many charter flights carrying passengers and cargo to countries and territories in Asia, Europe… such as Korea, Russia, UK, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Lithuania…, receiving many positive responses from passengers, as well as from customers of logistics companies, large shipping and receiving partners in the market.
Promoting cargo transportation services
Currently, in addition to promoting commercial activities such as reopening all exploited routes, opening many new domestic and international routes, transporting passengers and cargo from Vietnam to other regions in the world is one of the key plans strongly implemented by Bamboo Airways.
In the coming time, the airline will continue to coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Health, Ministry of National Defense, … domestic authorities, representative agencies abroad, to increase the organization of international charter flights. It is expected that by the end of 2020, Bamboo Airways will continue to operate a series of international charter flights to Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan – China, Czech Republic, USA…
With a network of partners around the world, Bamboo Airways aims to provide comprehensive air transport solutions, meeting the maximum needs of transporting goods, bringing citizens abroad to Vietnam, as well as bringing foreign citizens working in Vietnam back to the country.
The flights will strictly comply with the regulations of the authorities in terms of procedures, service processes from the ground to the air will strictly meet the Government’s regulations on disease prevention.
Not only stopping at temporary operations, Bamboo Airways is planning to develop the long-term cargo transport sector through the Bamboo Airways Cargo unit.
