In order to promptly share the difficulties and support people in areas heavily affected by floods after Typhoon Yagi, Bamboo Airways officially accepts free transportation of relief goods for people in the North from September 11, 2024 to September 26, 2024.
Accordingly, essential goods (including necessities and essential items) to support people in flood-affected areas will be reserved and prioritized for free transportation on Bamboo Airways flights as soon as possible. This policy is applied from September 11 to September 26, 2024 on all Bamboo Airways flights departing from Ho Chi Minh City/Da Nang/Cam Ranh/Quy Nhon/Da Lat to Hanoi.
In order to transport relief goods quickly and smoothly, the goods need to be packaged in packages with sturdy packaging. Each package must not exceed 40kg and each shipment must not exceed 500kg. Each flight will carry a maximum of 500kg of relief goods.
At the same time, agencies and units that need to send goods need an official document and a detailed list of relief items. Bamboo Airways will not accept to transport goods that are devices, items containing batteries inside, or goods and items containing dangerous goods to ensure security and aviation safety.
A representative of Bamboo Airways said: “Understanding the urgency and necessity of post-disaster relief work, the entire leadership and staff of Bamboo Airways are making efforts to focus on prioritizing the transportation of relief goods on flights. We look forward to joining hands with the people of the whole country to provide the fastest and most timely support to the people of the North who are heavily affected by historic storms and floods,” said Bamboo Airways General Director Luong Hoai Nam.
Agencies, social organizations, businesses, and groups that need to transport relief goods for free to the people of the North should contact the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, the People’s Committees of provinces/cities, the Vietnam Red Cross at all levels, and charity funds (licensed and recognized by state agencies).
