The Passenger Service System Upgrade Project is a strong effort of Bamboo Airways in the digital transformation process, aiming to better care for passengers, ensure the rights of the partner network, and establish a solid foundation to expand the international market in the future.
International standards
In September 2023, Bamboo Airways, in collaboration with the world’s leading technology partner Amadeus, began to convert and upgrade the Passenger Service System (PSS) towards modernization, optimization, and international standards being applied to traditional full-service airlines in the world.
Through service touchpoints operated by Bamboo Airways’ new PSS system, passengers experience a smoother, faster, and more convenient service process before, during, and after the flight, especially with complex international connecting flights. Some of the experience spaces include: digital platforms including the Bamboo Airways website, Bamboo Club Loyalty Membership portal, Bamboo Airways Mobile App, etc.; direct customer care points, including ticket office systems, business lounges, airport check-in counters, etc.
Along with that, Bamboo Airways also launched a new version of the website and mobile application, with many interface upgrades and new features, helping customers book tickets, track their journeys, and use additional services more easily, conveniently, and aesthetically.

Largest technology project
PSS is an airline’s core system, acting as a platform for the airline to provide services to customers, including functions such as reservation; fare management, ticket sales and distribution and ancillary products; commercial flight schedule management and sales operations; passenger procedures; after-sales support…
The technology partner behind Bamboo Airways’ new passenger service system is the multinational corporation Amadeus – a prestigious unit with more than 30 years of experience in providing technology solutions for the aviation and tourism industries. This is also the world’s leading supplier of PPS. In the aviation sector alone, there are more than 200 commercial airlines in the world, including major airlines such as Lufthansa, Air France, Japan Airlines, Qantas, Air Canada… are also using the PSS system provided by Amadeus.
The conversion of the passenger service system was carried out by Bamboo Airways from 5:00 p.m. on September 26, 2023. Passengers will officially be able to use Bamboo Airways services and flights on the new PSS system, as well as experience the new version of the Bamboo Airways website and mobile application from 12:00 p.m. on September 27, 2023.
The launch of the new Passenger Service System is the next milestone in Bamboo Airways’ digital transformation process, and is also the largest technology project in the airline’s 5 years of operation. This is an important premise for the airline to move towards commercial cooperation with international airlines, getting closer to the goal of joining a major airline alliance. This destination will gradually help Bamboo Airways expand its international flight network, contributing to affirming the airline’s position, reputation and identity.
After nearly 5 years of taking off, Bamboo Airways is one of the three largest domestic airlines in Vietnam, having transported nearly 20 million passengers in absolute safety, with an average on-time rate continuously leading
